DIT — Developer in Test.

To use the term literally means a developer working in testing.

In a typical software development project you have the practices of development and testing. Traditionally, developers develop code. Testers work in testing to test the developed code. Pretty simple.

As a synonymous, Testers are often called “QA” (Quality Assurance).

What QA Testers do is manual testing.
