I passed my Hashicorp Certified: Terraform Associate exam this year in August 2020 and I want to share my journey on how i achieved it. In this article I am going outline from start to finish the resources I used up to the point I took my exam.
Disclaimer: The steps i took and the resources used worked for me but I can’t guarantee it will definitely work for everyone as everyone has their own learning methods that works for them. I hope this can serve as a reference/guide though.
Inception
I’m a massive fan of Hashicorp and I’ve been using Terraform for a good few years now. I can’t claim to be an expert on Terraform but when I first came to know of this certification I decided to give it a go and put my knowledge and skills of Terraform to the test.
I first learned of this certification around April 2020. It was at the time when Hashicorp first announced the certification being publicly available. I’ve been deliberating for over a few weeks of whether to take the certification or not.
It wasn’t until in early May of 2020 that I decided to commit to it.
